While Butterfly has been doing quite good in her job – she’s been promoted twice already, and her painting skill just keeps advancing – Flower’s gardening job hasn’t been as a success. After seasons, gardening is not what it used to be! 😡 The plants almost never need to be watered or weeded, so we had to find other ways to get her gardening skill up. She’s never been promoted once, because if you never need to tend the garden…you don’t skill up! So to the library we go!
And the library doesn’t have any gardening books?! 😡😡 You kidding?
Lol, well, fine! We’ll just research gardening.
Umm, wha? You need level 2 gardening skill to research gardening??? How are you supposed to get to level 2 then????
Ugh. Well, we’re already here, so, might as well play blickbloc.

Flower, being the good, happy person that she is, wanted to help out this woman (who she learned was Nancy Landgrabb) by spreading some Love Day spirit.

“Don’t be sad, just think about those special people in your life!” Flower enthused.
Mrs. Landgrabb was not having it, and just scoffed… and gave Flower a thumbs down.

Flower gasped, stepping back. Nobody had ever really been mean to her before, besides Ike and his cronies, but they were evil. She was sure this woman was not evil. Right?

“Ok, come on, ma’am. I was just being nice. You didn’t have to do…that,” Flower said.
“Ugh, didn’t you see I didn’t want to talk?”
“Okay, I’m really sorry about whatever made you so mad, but don’t take it out on me!”

“My no good a-hole of a husband just told me he was leaving me! And on Love Day, too!”

Flower didn’t know too much about relationships, or more specifically, failed relationships. Her two oldest sisters, Geranium and Hyacinth, we’re both married, and many of her other sisters had been in relationships at least once. But if there was one good thing going on in Flowera, it was that most relationships lasted.
“Oh…I’m so sorry! You can always come over to my sister’s and my place, if you need to.”

“Um, thank you. I did come all the way over here from Oasis Springs to calm down for a little while.”
“Alright.”

Flower smiled, glad that she was able to help someone out. And when she got home, she bought what the library didn’t have – a gardening book.

And…they finally had enough money to build a little hut…for their plants.
